During these courses, students will undergo full review of the theoretical\u00a0aspects of each laboratory session followed by practical implementation of the required skills. Students&#8217; work undergoes supervision by the laboratory instructor. Assessment of students&#8217; comprehension of the skills is performed at each laboratory session and periodically using exams and analysis\/identification of unknown samples (blood, urine, synovial fluid, etc.).<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">?Some of the equipment available in the\u00a0clinical biochemistry lab\u00a0are: blood and urine centrifuges, spectrophotometers, ELISA readers, fluorometers, shakers, \u00a0\u00a0refrigerators, freezers, \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0water baths, \u00a0and adjustable pipettes of all required sizes. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">\u00a0Objectives:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol start=\"1\" type=\"1\">\n<li class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; tab-stops: list 36.0pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Provide the 20px;\">Objectives<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to understand biochemistry<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Develop students&#8217; skills in scientific analysis and interpretation<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Develop students&#8217; skills in teamwork<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">The Biochemistry Laboratory uses a variety of teaching methods, including:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Lectures<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Seminars<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Practical laboratories<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Students participate in a variety of activities, including:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Learning the basic principles of safety and laboratory safety<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Learning how to handle laboratory equipment and chemicals<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Learning about the components of the human body and its chemical changes<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Understanding the biochemical reactions and
