[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]The Women’s Affairs Unit at Al-Kindy College of Medicine recently hosted a seminar at the Iraqi Board for Medical Specializations titled “Women’s Obesity: Causes, Risks, and Treatment.” The seminar, led by Dr. Ryan Zeidan, head of the Women’s Affairs Unit, was attended by several female employees of the board.<\/span><\/p>\n

The seminar addressed the causes and potential complications of obesity in women, emphasizing the importance of early diagnosis and treatment. Dr. Zeidan explained modern diagnostic and treatment methods to prevent future obesity-related problems and complications, cautioning against the use of non-medical slimming methods without the supervision of a specialist.<\/span><\/p>\n

The seminar explored various factors contributing to obesity in women, including genetic predisposition, hormonal imbalances, unhealthy diets, and sedentary lifestyles.<\/span><\/p>\n

Participants learned about the potential health risks associated with obesity, such as cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and certain types of cancer.<\/span><\/p>\n
