[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]The Research 101 Workshop, organized by the Scientific Research Committee of Alkindy College of Medicine\u2019s Student Volunteer Team, marked a transformative step towards fostering research excellence for the 2024-2025 academic year. This initiative aims to equip students with essential research skills, setting the stage for impactful contributions to medical science and beyond.<\/span><\/p>\n

Spanning two and a half months, from September 6 to November 19, 2024, the workshop delivered a rich, integrated academic experience. With five engaging sessions, participants delved into the foundations of scientific research under the mentorship of leading experts.<\/span><\/p>\n

The workshop featured an outstanding lineup of speakers, including:<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Dr. Yousif Abdul Kareem, faculty member at Alkindy College, who led a pivotal session on research fundamentals.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Mohammed Dhia Marsoul, Mayo Clinic research fellow and proud alumnus, whose session enriched discussions with his global insights.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Hussein Abdulkadhim, AI specialist from the University of Kufa, and Dr. Hashem Talib, Head of Research at the University of Warith Al-Anbiya, who introduced advanced topics in medical research and artificial intelligence.<\/span><\/p>\n

Participants explored a range of critical subjects, including:<\/span><\/p>\n

Research ethics: Building a strong foundation of integrity in scientific work.<\/span><\/p>\n

Systematic reviews: The art of synthesizing evidence for impactful studies.<\/span><\/p>\n

Analytical methodologies: Unlocking insights through data-driven approaches.<\/span><\/p>\n

AI applications in medicine: Bridging innovation and healthcare for the future.<\/span><\/p>\n

With over 50 students from various academic stages and faculties, the workshop created a dynamic and collaborative learning environment. What truly set the program apart was its practical orientation\u2014students applied concepts through structured assignments after each session, ensuring hands-on experience.<\/span><\/p>\n

Participants who completed the workshop requirements earned certifications, boosting their eligibility for advanced research opportunities within Alkindy College and beyond.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Research 101 Workshop underscores Alkindy College of Medicine\u2019s commitment to nurturing the next generation of researchers and innovators.
