[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]In an era where technology dominates daily life, Al-Kindy College of Medicine at the University of Baghdad is taking a proactive approach to address digital addiction. Through a groundbreaking seminar titled “Digital Addiction Awareness,” the college aimed to empower its students with knowledge and strategies to combat the hidden dangers of excessive digital engagement.<\/span><\/p>\n

The seminar, hosted by the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit, was led by the esteemed Assistant Professor Dr. Saja Ali. Dr. Ali delved into the psychological and social challenges posed by digital dependency, emphasizing the critical need for balance in today\u2019s tech-driven world. She highlighted evidence-based strategies to help students regain control of their screen time while preserving their mental health and social well-being.<\/span><\/p>\n

Targeting fifth-year medical students, the session sparked a wave of enthusiasm and dialogue. Students actively engaged in thought-provoking discussions, sharing personal experiences and posing insightful questions. This vibrant exchange showcased their eagerness to understand the long-term implications of digital addiction, not just for their lives but also for their future patients.<\/span><\/p>\n

The seminar also underscored the college’s commitment to preparing future doctors to navigate modern societal challenges. By integrating such awareness programs, Al-Kindy College of Medicine is nurturing a new generation of healthcare professionals who are well-equipped to lead holistic, balanced lives and advocate for the well-being of others.<\/span><\/p>\n
