[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]In its ongoing mission to provide quality education and foster scientific awareness, Alkindy College of Medicine at the University of Baghdad recently organized an engaging seminar titled \u201cRadiation and Its Types.\u201d This event, held under the auspices of the Continuing Education Unit, reflects the college\u2019s dedication to equipping students and faculty with essential knowledge about radiation and its safety protocols.<\/span><\/p>\n

The seminar, presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Abdul Ameer and supervised by the Dean, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Shihab Al-Aidani, brought together a distinguished audience, including faculty members and students. The session was chaired by Associate Professor Dr. Ikhlas Jawad, with Prof. Dr. Taghreed Al-Haidari, Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, also in attendance.<\/span><\/p>\n

Types of Radiation: An in-depth look at ionizing and non-ionizing radiation, including their characteristics and sources of emission.<\/span><\/p>\n

Measuring Radiation: Comprehensive insights into units for measuring radiation doses and the activity of radioactive materials.<\/span><\/p>\n

Exposure and Safety: Detailed discussions on permissible exposure limits and actionable strategies for minimizing risks associated with radiation.<\/span><\/p>\n

Attendees actively participated in the Q&A session, raising questions and sharing perspectives on radiation safety in both medical and everyday contexts.
