Reports to: Office of the Associate Dean for Administrative Affairs

The Services Division consists of five units: Maintenance Unit, Switchboard Unit, Cleaning Unit, Agricultural Unit, and Vehicle Unit.

 

Total Staff: 8 permanent employees and 9 daily wage workers

  1. Maintenance Unit

Engineering Assessments: Preparing detailed engineering reports for all projects to be executed by the college, and submitting them to the University of Baghdad/Department of Reconstruction and Projects to obtain necessary approvals. These projects are implemented according to agreed-upon standards, in coordination with the Engineering Unit.

High-Cost Projects: Executing large-scale engineering projects that require significant effort, following the submitted plans from the University of Baghdad/Department of Reconstruction and Projects.

General Maintenance Supervision: Overseeing all general maintenance work in the college and submitting periodic reports.

Final Measurements: Conducting final and work progress measurements in collaboration with the Engineering Unit.

Electrical Work: Organizing, maintaining, and supervising all electrical work, including lighting systems, cooling units, water pumps, and electrical wiring.

Diesel Generators: Providing adequately sized diesel generators, conducting regular maintenance, and ensuring sufficient fuel supply to immediately operate during power outages, especially during exam periods.

Vehicle Maintenance: Securing oils and fuels for the college’s vehicles and equipment, overseeing their distribution according to approved guidelines, and supervising vehicle maintenance, with reports submitted as needed.

Consultation: Utilizing the Maintenance Unit for technical and engineering consultations.

  1. Switchboard Unit

Telephone Services: Providing and maintaining the telephone lines within the college.

  1. Cleaning Unit

College Cleaning: Responsible for cleaning the college’s courtyards and buildings, including classrooms, laboratories, and all staff and faculty offices.

  1. Agricultural Unit

Gardens and Landscaping: Organizing, designing, and maintaining the college’s gardens to present a well-kept appearance.

  1. Vehicle Unit

Mail Delivery: Delivering college mail through the assigned courier.

Student Transportation: Transporting students to teaching hospitals and health centers.

Vehicle Repairs: Operating a small workshop for basic vehicle repairs and maintenance, and collaborating with specialized committees for major repairs.
