Alkindy College of Medicine’s Women’s Affairs Unit, in collaboration with the Women’s Affairs Unit of the College of Education for Women, held an educational workshop titled “Women’s Obesity: Causes, Complications, and Treatment” at the College of Education for Women, University of Baghdad.
The workshop, sponsored by the President of the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Baha Ibrahim Ensaf, and supervised by the Dean of the College of Education for Women, Dr. Ithmar Shaker Majid Al-Shatri, was presented by Dr. Rayan Zidan Khalaf, Head of the Women’s Affairs Unit at Alkindy College of Medicine.
The event aimed to shed light on the major causes of obesity, clarify the distinction between obesity and being overweight, and discuss the complications of obesity among women, along with proper diagnosis and treatment options.

- Follow Healthy Diets: Commit to healthy eating habits and avoid fast foods, which exacerbate obesity.
The workshop was attended by faculty members and students, leading to insightful discussions and an interactive Q&A session.
