The Pathology Laboratory aims to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to understand pathology, the science that studies the nature, development, and treatment of diseases.
Objectives
- Provide students with the basic knowledge of pathology
- Develop students’ skills in scientific analysis and interpretation
- Develop students’ skills in fine manual skills
The Pathology Laboratory uses a variety of teaching methods, including:
- Display of glass slides (slides) using a multi-headed educational microscope or using a microscope attached to an LCD screen.
- Display of chromoslides or using Data Show to display slides of microscopic images or pathological models.
- Studying models of human organs preserved in formaldehyde with clear pathological manifestations to the naked eye.
Students participate in a variety of activities, including:
- Examination of microscopic slides and description of pathological changes in them.
- Conducting practical experiments to study the properties of cells and pathological tissues.
- Writing reports on the results of practical experiments.
Equipment
The laboratory is equipped with the latest microscopes from global sources, and it has recently been equipped with a fluorescent microscope system.
Capacity
The laboratory can accommodate 20 male and female students and is well-furnished.
