The Ibn Sina E-Learning Unit at Al-Kindi College of Medicine serves as the cornerstone of the modern and innovative educational process at the college. By fully leveraging the Google Workspace for Education suite, with a central focus on the Google Classroom platform, the unit leads the digital transformation efforts to foster an interactive and effective learning experience that aligns with the module-based system and advanced teaching methods adopted by our college.

We have moved beyond the phase of emergency remote learning to a stage of professionalism in integrating technology into education, where our digital platforms have become an integral part of the daily curriculum.

Google Classroom is the official digital learning environment at our college. Thanks to its seamless integration with the Google application suite, the platform provides a stable and powerful educational environment with immense capabilities, including:

  • Ease of Access and Content Management: Efficiently organizing course materials, assignments, and announcements.
  • Unlimited Storage: Uploading and sharing lectures, files, and educational resources without limitations.
  • Direct Interaction: Enhancing communication between faculty and students through discussions and interactive assignments.

The Unit’s Tasks and Core Services

 

To achieve our objectives, the unit’s team carries out a range of pivotal tasks:

  • Official Account Management: Securing and activating official email accounts (@student.uobaghdad.edu.iq) for students and faculty, which serve as the gateway to all digital services.
  • Technical Support and Continuous Training: Conducting intensive training courses and workshops for faculty and students to ensure the professional use of the Google Classroom platform and its applications.
  • Monitoring and Developing the Educational Process: Supervising the creation of electronic classrooms, monitoring the progress of instruction to ensure best practices are applied, and providing periodic statistics and reports.
  • Supervising Electronic Examinations: Providing the technical and logistical support to manage e-exams with high efficiency and reliability.
  • Knowledge Dissemination: Keeping pace with the latest developments in e-learning, sharing them with academic departments, and documenting all unit activities on the college’s official website.
