ALSO/ Advance Life Support in Obstetrics

Introduction of a training program to the country in collaboration with the Hrtdc in the Iraqi MOH..This program is owned by the American Academy of Family physicians..and it is already established in many counties all over the world including 8 Arabic countries.

The course coordinator in Iraq is; Assist. Prof. Taghreed Khalil Alhaidari, the head of the scientific unit in our college.

This course is a form of CME, can improve the knowledge and skills of all health staff who provide services for woman during pregnancy and labour and some countries who practice the course for many years had shown evident decrement in maternal morbidity and mortality.

Our college now has 2 course instructors:

–        Dr. Taghreed Alhaidari

–        Dr. Sahar Jasim

Since the introduction of the course on 2014 till now, 14 courses had been

held and 282 providers got the certificate of this course.
