The Computer Laboratory aspires to be a leading center in teaching and training medical students on computer skills and their applications in the medical field.

Mission

The Computer Laboratory aims to provide medical students with the skills necessary to use computers in a variety of areas, including:

  • Preparing presentations
  • Preparing educational reports
  • Managing databases
  • Conducting statistical analysis
  • Conducting medical research

Goals

The Computer Laboratory aims to achieve the following goals:

  • Provide medical students with the skills necessary to use statistical software, such as SPSS.
  • Offer a computer-based course to first-year students.
  • Offer useful scientific programs in computer use for third-year and graduate students.
  • Teach medical students how to use computers in conducting medical research.
  • Use computer skills to draw data and charts.

 

Computer Laboratory (1) for Undergraduate Studies

This laboratory was founded in 1998.

It is located in the Consultation Clinic Building, second floor.

It teaches undergraduate students (first, second, and third year) how to use Excel, PowerPoint, and SPSS.

Computer Laboratory (2) for Graduate Studies

This laboratory was established in 2020.

It teaches graduate students (students of the Higher Diploma in Family Medicine and students of the Professional Diploma) on computer skills and how to use SPSS in conducting medical research.
