Since 1998, Al-Kindy College of Medicine has opened its doors as the second medical college at the University of Baghdad, beginning a new medical legacy dedicated to preparing the physicians of tomorrow and serving the community.
Al-Kindy College of Medicine is fully accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Medical Colleges (NCAMC), an accrediting agency recognized by the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME)

Since its establishment in 1998 beside Al-Kindy Teaching Hospital in the heart of Baghdad, Al-Kindy College of Medicine has continued its journey as one of the University of Baghdad’s distinguished academic medical institutions, advancing with quality in education, creativity in knowledge, and integrity in its mission.

Al-Kindy College of Medicine was established as the second medical college at the University of Baghdad.

2005
The first class of students graduated from the College.

2010
Postgraduate studies were launched, along with the Higher Diploma in Medical Education.

2012
A modern academic program was adopted, integrating basic and clinical sciences.

2014
The Higher Diploma in Family Medicine was introduced.

1,871 undergraduate students · 8 postgraduate students · 128 faculty members holding PhD and Master’s degrees.
