In honor of National Tree Planting Day, Alkindy College of Medicine at the University of Baghdad organized a large-scale tree planting campaign with extensive participation from faculty, staff, and students.
The initiative, supervised by Dean Prof. Dr. Mohammed Shahab Al-Aidani, was conducted in collaboration with the college’s Service Department and Agricultural Unit. Assistant Scientific Dean Prof. Dr. Taghreed Al-Haidery and Assistant Administrative Dean Prof. Dr. Jamila Ghadhban actively participated alongside a significant number of faculty members, staff, and students.
This tree planting campaign serves as part of the college’s ongoing efforts to enhance the university environment and promote environmental awareness among its members. More than just a simple environmental undertaking, the campaign represents an investment in the college’s and its community’s healthy and sustainable future.
The event is held in accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research/ Department of Research and Development/ Division of Pioneering Project Management, which designates March 12th of each year as National Tree Planting Day.
