Alkindy College of Medicine at the University of Baghdad has successfully launched the second session of the Basic Life Support in Obstetrics (BLSO) training program. Designed to empower medical students with essential skills for managing obstetric emergencies, this initiative reflects the college’s commitment to improving maternal healthcare.
The program was organized in collaboration with the National Center for Training and Human Development under the Ministry of Health and supervised by Prof. Dr. Mohammed Shihab Al-Aidani. A team of esteemed faculty members, including Prof. Dr. Taghreed Al-Haidari, Prof. Dr. Thikra Najm, and Dr. Sahar Jassim, led the course, which combines engaging lectures with hands-on practice.
Participants had the opportunity to learn and apply life-saving techniques in a supportive environment that bridges academic knowledge with real-world application. The program aims to prepare future physicians to deliver high-quality healthcare services that meet global standards.
