The Dean of Al-Kindy College of Medicine / University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Shihab Al-Aidani, participated in an official meeting hosted by the University of Baghdad to welcome a delegation from the University of Sulaimani, where a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed to strengthen academic and scientific collaboration between the two universities.The meeting was attended by the Assistant President for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Raghad Abdulrazzaq Al-Hashimi (acting in managing the President’s duties), and the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Suhail Najm Abdullah, along with several college deans, including the Dean of Al-Kindy College of Medicine.
The University of Sulaimani delegation included Prof. Dr. Kosar Mohammed Ali, President of the University, Dr. Zana Mohammed Hassan, Scientific Assistant and Assistant President for Student Affairs, as well as a number of deans and department directors.Discussions focused on expanding academic cooperation, promoting scientific openness, and exchanging expertise in teaching and research, in line with higher education priorities related to quality and internationalization.The participants also explored opportunities for joint supervision of postgraduate students, hosting scientific workshops and seminars, and establishing joint research teams, particularly within medical and scientific colleges, to enhance academic programs and research outcomes.The meeting concluded with the formal signing of the MoU, providing a framework for sustained academic and research partnership and opening new pathways for future cooperation.
