Al-Kindy College of Medicine at the University of Baghdad, in cooperation with the Federal Commission of Integrity, organized an interactive seminar on professional ethics in the medical and educational sectors and their role in protecting public services from extortion and misconduct.
The seminar was presented by Hussein Qasim Ouhid, a member of the Federal Commission of Integrity, and was attended by the Dean of Al-Kindy College of Medicine, Professor Dr. Mohammed Shihab Al-Eidani, the Assistant Deans for Scientific and Administrative Affairs, as well as a number of faculty members and staff.
During the session, the speaker discussed the concept of public integrity and highlighted the role of the Federal Commission of Integrity in combating corruption and strengthening ethical and transparent practices within public institutions.
The seminar also reviewed a number of procedures and measures undertaken by the Commission as part of its efforts to combat corruption and reinforce compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and institutional standards.
Particular attention was given to the important role of both employees and citizens in supporting integrity initiatives through cooperation, responsible reporting of suspected corruption or violations, and helping competent authorities take the appropriate legal measures.
The interactive discussion provided participants with an opportunity to raise questions and share perspectives on practical ways to strengthen integrity, accountability, and professional responsibility within healthcare and educational institutions.
The event forms part of Al-Kindy College of Medicine’s continuing efforts to promote a culture of integrity, enhance institutional awareness, and encourage responsible professional conduct across the academic and healthcare sectors.
