In an era where technology dominates daily life, Al-Kindy College of Medicine at the University of Baghdad is taking a proactive approach to address digital addiction. Through a groundbreaking seminar titled “Digital Addiction Awareness,” the college aimed to empower its students with knowledge and strategies to combat the hidden dangers of excessive digital engagement.

The seminar, hosted by the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit, was led by the esteemed Assistant Professor Dr. Saja Ali. Dr. Ali delved into the psychological and social challenges posed by digital dependency, emphasizing the critical need for balance in today’s tech-driven world. She highlighted evidence-based strategies to help students regain control of their screen time while preserving their mental health and social well-being.

Targeting fifth-year medical students, the session sparked a wave of enthusiasm and dialogue.
