Al-Kindy College of Medicine – University of Baghdad has officially signed a strategic partnership with the Arab Board of Arts and Health, under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mohammed Shihab Al-Aidani, Dean of the College, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Taghreed Khalil Al-Haidari, Scientific Associate Dean.
The Arab Board of Arts and Health is represented by Prof. Dr. Jabar Khamaat Hassan, faculty member at the College of Fine Arts – University of Baghdad. This collaboration aims to integrate arts into medical education through innovative academic and training programs designed to promote quality of life, enhance public health, and serve both students and the wider community.
Objectives of the Partnership
Enhancing higher education outcomes by linking medical sciences with the arts to foster creativity and innovation.
Organizing workshops, training courses, and scientific lectures highlighting the role of arts in prevention and treatment.
Strengthening the humanistic dimension of medical practice by involving students in joint artistic and health initiatives.
Supporting the College’s strategic direction towards innovation and interdisciplinary integration.
The Arab Board of Arts and Health is an innovative project registered as intellectual property with the Ministry of Economy of the United Arab Emirates, and operates under the umbrella of Al-Ruwya International for Quality & Sustainability Consulting – Abu Dhabi, reflecting the regional and international scope of this collaboration.
Prof. Dr. Mohammed Shihab Al-Aidani, Dean of Al-Kindy College of Medicine, emphasized that this partnership represents a pioneering step in advancing medical education by linking it with cultural and humanistic dimensions. He further noted that this collaboration supports the College’s role in contributing to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
