The Continuing Education Unit at Al-Kindy College of Medicine, University of Baghdad, organized a presentation titled “Art of Effective Presentation,” delivered by Dr. Tghreed Khalil Mohammed Ali, Head of Medical Education Unit, with participation from Professor Dr. Jabbar Khamat Hassan from the Theatre Arts Department at the College of Fine Arts.
The session was chaired by Assistant Professor Dr. Naba Aswad Al-Mayali and attended by College Dean Professor Dr. Mohammed Shihab Al-Eidani, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs Professor Dr. Mohanad Munther, and faculty members.
The activity aimed to strengthen communication and academic presentation skills among teaching staff, elevating delivery methods in lectures and scientific events. The presentation covered practical strategies for effective speech delivery, emphasizing idea organization, body language utilization, voice modulation, and techniques for capturing audience attention and stimulating interaction during lectures and scientific presentations.
This initiative reflects the college’s commitment to developing faculty capabilities and enhancing academic performance quality, positively impacting the educational process. The collaboration with theatre arts experts brings performance techniques into medical education—recognizing that compelling communication saves lives beyond the classroom.
