The Legal Division at Al-Kindy College of Medicine, University of Baghdad, held a three-day training course titled “Explanation of the Civil Service and Public Sector Discipline Law No. (14) of 1991 (as amended)” from May 5–7, 2026, based on directives from the University of Baghdad Presidency and under the patronage and attendance of the Dean, Prof. Mohammed Shihab Al-Aidani. The course aimed to strengthen legal awareness and reinforce professional discipline within the institution.
The course was attended by the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs Asst. Prof. Muhannad Munther Abdulghani, the Administrative Assistant Dean Asst. Prof. Hijaz Ismail, as well as a number of faculty members and staff, reflecting the College’s commitment to enhancing administrative performance and compliance with applicable regulations.
The sessions were delivered by Legal Consultant Saad Jassim Nasser, Head of the Legal Division, and Dr. Hazem Abdoun Dali, covering a detailed explanation of the law’s provisions related to employees’ duties and disciplinary penalties, in addition to administrative investigation procedures and legal appeal mechanisms.
The course also highlighted key amendments to the law and their implications for the workplace, emphasizing that adherence to regulations is essential for improving institutional performance and supporting sound governance.
The program featured strong engagement through questions and applied discussions, helping participants better understand the practical aspects of the law and its relevance to daily administrative workflows.
