The Continuing Education Unit at Al-Kindy College of Medicine, University of Baghdad, organized a scientific seminar titled “Dermatologic Diseases and Scabies,” chaired by Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Yaseen, and attended by the Dean, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Shihab Al-Eidani, the Scientific and Administrative Assistants, and a number of faculty members.

The seminar was delivered by Asst. Lecturer Dr. Sara Raheem, who addressed the modern challenges of scabies, particularly treatment resistance and the difficulty of controlling transmission in certain community groups. The talk also highlighted key factors linked to the rising spread of scabies and emphasized the need to strengthen prevention and control strategies within modern healthcare systems.

A broad scientific discussion followed, focusing on the health and social burden of scabies and the role of medical institutions in developing effective response plans aligned with growing global public health challenges. The seminar reflects Al-Kindy College of Medicine’s commitment to advancing health awareness and updating scientific knowledge for both staff and students.
