The Academic Counseling Unit at Al-Kindy College of Medicine, University of Baghdad, has organized an awareness-raising guidance activity emphasizing the importance of sports activities within the college and their transformative impact on student mental and physical health.
The initiative addressed the multifaceted benefits of regular exercise, including stress and academic pressure reduction, mood and concentration improvement, and self-confidence enhancement. Participants learned about sports’ critical role in strengthening immune function, maintaining physical fitness, and preventing chronic diseases.
The activity specifically focused on embedding physical exercise within students’ daily routines, highlighting its positive impact in achieving balance between academic demands and overall health preservation, ultimately safeguarding psychological wellbeing.
Dr. Moatasem Billah Abdulrahman led the activity execution, advancing the unit’s mission to disseminate holistic health awareness culture and motivate students toward consistent sports practice.
