The Women’s Affairs Unit at Al-Kindy College of Medicine, University of Baghdad, in collaboration with the University Guidance Unit, held a scientific seminar titled “Hemorrhagic Fever: Risks, Prevention, and Management” to raise health awareness among students and the community and to strengthen prevention culture as the first line of defense against infectious diseases.

The seminar was delivered by Dr. Wasan Abdulrazzaq, who explained the nature of the disease, reviewed key clinical symptoms, and outlined common routes of transmission within the community. She also highlighted major risk factors and practical measures to reduce infection spread through evidence-based preventive practices.

The session addressed updated diagnostic approaches and discussed how to manage suspected or confirmed cases according to approved medical guidelines, emphasizing early response and strict adherence to preventive procedures to protect individuals and support public health efforts in facing epidemic challenges.

The seminar emphasized the role of health education and awareness in reducing infection risks and supporting healthcare institutions, while reinforcing prevention culture as a key strategy for community protection and preparedness.
